What page size should I choose?

A4 is standard in most countries. Choose US Letter for North America, or Fit to each image when you want no extra white space around the photo.

Why does a HEIC image fail in Chrome?

Chrome cannot decode HEIC natively. Try Safari on a Mac or iPhone, convert the photo to JPG first, or use an image already in JPG or PNG.

Will the images be compressed?

Images are normalized to JPEG at high quality and capped at 3000 pixels on the long edge. That keeps the PDF a sensible size while staying sharp for reading and ordinary printing.
